The Apna Technologies & Solutions Vehicle Data Acquisition System (APNA-VDAS) is designed for automotive testing applications and in-vehicle applications that span from the automotive design validation engineer performing thermal testing on a newly-designed HVAC system to the weekend warrior that logs diagnostic data at the track in order to find performance gaps. With the wide range of in-vehicle applications, there are a wide range of test system requirements and ATS-IVDAS uses National Instruments CompactRIO architecture and National Instruments LabVIEW as the application platform. The modular PXI hardware and LabVIEW from National Instruments provides the needed flexibility for in-vehicle test through connectivity to many sensors, connectivity to vehicle buses such as CAN, and compatibility with wide variety of voltage and current levels.
